Kontera WordPress Plugin for PayPerPost Posts

I haven’t installed Kontera on this blog. I just never got around to it. Actually I never submitted this blog for review. Kontera ContentLink continues to be one of my biggest money makers on many of my other blogs.
Kontera is a leading provider of In-Text Advertising. Their ContentLink technology reads your blog posts in real-time and automatically turns the word into a link to the most relevant ad from among Kontera´s thousands of advertisers.
I was happy to learn about a great new plugin. As you may know or probably could assume, PayPerPost doesn’t allow text link ads or any other ads in sponsored posts. This isn’t too much of a problem if you use the following Kontera filter in your sponsored posts:
<span name=”KonaFilter”>Content here</span>
But I don’t like adding so much code to every post. You literally have to wrap the Kontera tag filter around every paragraph and line break. It’s too much code on posts with many paragraphs. So I opted to try out this plugin and I love it. Anyway, let’s install our new plugin.
Installation is as simple as most WordPress plugins. Download the Kontera Integration plugin and upload it into the wp-content/plugins directory, activate, browse to the new Kontera Integration tab found in the Options sections of your WordPress admin panel. Here you will set your Kontera Publisher ID which is easily found in the code snippet that Kontera supplies you in the admin section.

Kontera Integration has a few tricks up it’s sleeve. It allows you to restrict your Kontera ads to posts only, so that your sidebar, header and footers don’t receive ads. Also, you can easily change the link color and a few other things.
